Family is an enormous aspect in life; they mean a lot to me.  Despite the fact that I travel a lot, I do my best to make sure my family is not neglected, because they are a very important part of my life. I first started snowboarding in 1992, ten years later I started racing (2002) ... I’ve been skiing since I was 5 years old

What is her motivation behind her professions :

- Firefighter
I value the teamwork, adrenaline, the fact that you fight against time. I like the camaraderie and the fact that each day is different.

I love the competing against other people, the speed, the jumps, the racing strategies …..

Qualifications required for her jobs :
An individual must learn to keep their cool, be bold, be quick of mind and be physically fit.

Her career as a snowboarder :
When I first started out, I competed at the provincial level were I would often finish first.  My success at the provincial level prompted me to compete in larger competitions like NorAm and the Canadian Championships. I won my first Canadian Championship, placing in front of the Canadian National Snowboarding Team. The Canadian Snowboarding Team asked me to prove myself by competing in World Cup circuit the following year.  I finished 2nd in my second World Cup competition of the year which was held in Austria, Bad Gastein.

When the season ended I was placed 4th and I wasn’t even a member of the Canadian National Team (yet). Since this time, I have achieved, several podium finishes in the World Cup circuits and participated in the X-Games. In 2006, I won the bronze medal at the Turin Olympics and the Crystal Globe.

Her childhood :
I am the granddaughter of the Massif (a mountain located in Quebec). I like jumping around and trying all sorts of adventures possible. I always have a season pass and I never missed a storm or a day of snowboarding. I attended photo shoots for magazines, or I accompanied the team for TV broadcasts, but no more. Until the day I started to get tired of saying that I had talent and that I should go and compete against other girls, then I was ready for action ... the taste for competition and traveling around the world followed shortly after…

An Athlete needs a lot of determination, discipline and passion for their sport.
